Risk of fire (drought)
Please remain cautious and vigilant when out walking in our forests.
Warning .... Fire hazard
The Department of Nature and Forests draws the public's attention to the significant risk of fire in forests and natural areas during this period of severe drought.
All users are asked to observe the following rules:
Remain vigilant and cautious, do not stray from marked paths and avoid walking in areas at risk (fens), remote or difficult to access.
Do not light or carry fire
Avoid reckless actions that could start a fire: refrain from smoking, avoid depositing flammable or dangerous materials (glass).
Keep paths clear to allow access by emergency services.
Contact the emergency services (100 or 112) if a fire breaks out, as well as the DNF Vielsalm surveillance vehicle (0477/933.001).
